This is perhaps the easiest piece that I’ve ever had to write. It’s easy in the sense that expressing my love for you has never been difficult. You’re ingrained in my DNA, and are now officially a part of my being. So it’s only right that I share with the rest of the world my eternal gratitude for one of God’s greatest gifts.

I’ve decided to change up the approach to my Fly Poetry section today. Instead of featuring a traditional poem, I wanted to post the lyrics to a song that me to reads like beautiful poetry (Not to mention the fact that it now has a very special meaning to me.)

I’ve thought long and hard about this, and have come to the following conclusion: I love you. To be perfectly honestly, I’ve loved you for quite some time now… there’s simply no other explanation for the way that I feel. When we started out, we both agreed to take it slow, fully knowing that a strong foundation was needed for us to have any legitimate shot at love. But with that foundation now secure, I can no longer deny what I know to be true…
