Looking back over my relationship resume, I can safely say that I’ve done my fair share of things that have caused me embarrassment in the name of impressing a girl.

I’ll be the first one to admit this shortcoming: break ups make me uneasy. There’s just something about the giving and receiving of bad relationship news that doesn’t sit well with me. I mean, think about it; is there really another conversation that’s more uncomfortable? I can’t think of a single one.

I was about 12 years-old when I first heard a phrase that has followed me well into adulthood. “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.” At the time, I didn’t really know what it meant, but figured it was somehow being used to explain the actions of my then-girlfriend, who was trying to get her older brother to beat me up. (For the record, I didn’t kiss that other girl … she was just helping me get something off my lip.)

The next time a married man or woman glances your way, you might think twice before acting on impulse and frolicking between satin sheets. The scorned spouse could sue you. Yes, you read that right. You, the paramour, can get hit with a lawsuit that could cost you hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Dear Fly Guy, I’m sick of my husband. He has mental issues, and I’m tired of appeasing him just to keep him calm. He doesn’t know how to act in public; we can’t even have normal conversations; he has a bad temper; and we have separate bedrooms, because he is such a slob.

I wanted to answer one final letter before I took off for the airport ….. Dear Fly Guy, my girl is having dreams that I’m going to dump her, then she wakes up mad at me. What do I do?
