I’m sure that if you tried hard enough, you could undoubtedly write some beautiful, flowery prose potent enough to metaphorically knock her socks off … but let’s pause on that for a moment. Instead, I want you to focus on mastering the art of being direct, and saying exactly what you feel.

In my line of work, I’ve been fortunate to meet so many amazing people … some famous, others infamous, and then there are those who I consider to be the true stars because of their pure hearts and beautiful spirits. Lord, grant me the strength to always honor my gift of self-expression. But if I ever fall short and it’s taken away, I pray that I’m still able to learn from the thoughts and honest expressions of others—particularly as it relates to love and relationships.

A major problem in the dating world is there aren’t enough people willing to give themselves an honest self-evaluation. This lack of internal honesty starts to create a problem when the advances of deserving people are dismissed with phrases like “I can’t be with them … they aren’t on my level.”
