John Legend, Andre 3000, and One Night Stands

Here’s a hypothetical question. Let’s say I met you one evening, and the chemistry between us was about as intense as Al Sharpton’s infatuation for lye relaxers. What would it take for you to come home with me?

Fly Album Review- Usher’s “Here I Stand”

I’m not going to bore you with the three millionth review of Usher’s latest album, “Here I Stand.” Instead, I thought I’d share with you a few of my favorite cuts from the album, as well as give you my own interpretation of what they mean. I hope you enjoy my perspective. (But even if you don’t, feel free to still act like you do.)

I Want To Be Your Co Star

It’s just the man in me that possesses this innate desire to run the show. The more I experience, the more I understand that it’s okay…even healthy to occasionally flip the script and release that control to your woman. Yes, I said it fellas. You need to let her take the steering wheel from time to time.

Muffy is Sweet

Ever so often, an artist comes along whose style, creativity and spontaneity exemplifies the same energy that’s exuded throughout this column and the entire Fly Guy movement. When they do come along, I instantly feel compelled to do whatever I can to assist in their ascension to national prominence. Emerging star Muffy is one such [...]

Having Trouble Saying I Love You?

Ever had a tough time expressing yourself to a loved one? Well back in high school, if I was ever at a loss for words, I would just pull out old faithful and use, Shai’s “Together Forever.” (Note: I’m sorry Dawn, Ashley, Monique, and Jackie for using the same song on you.

Fly Music: Usher featuring Young Jeezy- “In This Club”

Usher is back on the scene, and appears to be focused on reclaiming his spot as the hardest working man in show business. I’m not sure if this will officially go down as his first single, but I still wanted to share it with the Fly Guy community. The song, which features Young Jeezy, is called “In this Club,” and finds the pop superstar becoming so caught up in a woman on the dance floor, that he just wants to make love right then and there. Let’s hope he protects himself (Was that too much?)

Come Back To Bed

John Mayer tells an all too familiar story in “Come Back To Bed.” So read the lyrics, watch the performance, and let’s discuss the following topic…

Have you ever been in the midst of an argument with your significant other, and wanted to pause it just so you could have a peaceful night’s sleep? It’s happened to me more times than Bobby Brown has missed a child support payment so I can definitely relate. What about you?

Anaya Hayes “Want it”

This week, I get the privilege of introducing a good friend to Fly Guy Nation. Having wowed audiences as a stunning model and celebrity event host, the beautiful Anaya Hayes is certainly no stranger to the spotlight. And while that success is duly noted, Hayes has now channeled her energy into showing the world that [...]
