You’d be hard pressed to find someone who in 2011 remains unaffected by the single parent phenomenon. Whether it’s you, your mother, your sister or a close friend, there’s a good chance that someone in your life is currently dealing with the delicate obstacle course known as single parenthood.

Finding your dream woman can be about as difficult as uncovering a professional athlete who hadn’t slept with a Kardashian sister. Just when you begin to think you’ve found someone special, there always seems to be an obstacle to derail you off your path to happiness.

“When it comes to love, you win some and you lose some.” It’s a concept that sounds simple enough, but one that most people don’t fully embrace—myself included. You see, there was a time in the not too distant past, when I refused to quit on a relationship … no matter how bad it got.

I can’t help but be amused by an article I just read on CNN. Not because the information found in it is funny … no, that’s not it. Instead, my laughs come as a result of me predicting the response the piece will get from you.
