Imagine If We Could Trust Each Other

Mar 30th, 2010 | By admin | Category: Fly Perspectives

If there’s one thing that my faith has taught me, it’s the importance of trust—even when there’s nothing tangible to visibly support that level of trust. Let me give you an example: I’ve never physically seen God face-to-face, but I know that He exists; I know that He lives within me; and I’m a firm believer in His word. That’s a belief that can’t be deterred, changed or altered in any way.

An Exploration of Heartbreak

Mar 30th, 2010 | By admin | Category: Fly Music

Webster defines heartbreak as “great sorrow, grief, or anguish.” But in my life, I define heartbreak as the one singular event capable of bringing any man to his knees. More harmful than any cut, scrape or bruise could ever be, the damage that’s inflicted by a broken heart should never be underestimated.

5 Ways Not To Flirt

Mar 29th, 2010 | By admin | Category: Fly Perspectives

I’ll be the first one to admit that the art of flirting is tough … in fact, the only thing that may prove to be more difficult is the development of an anti-shine formula for Jermaine Jackson’s forehead (now that might be downright impossible.) But Jermaine’s glisten aside, I do find that most men have trouble establishing the proper approach when it comes to flirting.

Another Quick Note To Future Mrs. Fly Guy

Mar 29th, 2010 | By admin | Category: Fly Foolishness

Dear Future Wife, I know that we haven’t met yet, but I still pray that all is well with you. While I’m sure that we’ll catch up on things when we finally do cross paths, there is one thing that I wanted to go ahead and say. If God blesses us with a son, then I ask that you give me permission to jack him up if he ever conducts himself like the young men in the following video.

Love, Sex and the Male Brain

Mar 25th, 2010 | By admin | Category: Fly Features

I can’t help but be amused by an article I just read on CNN. Not because the information found in it is funny … no, that’s not it. Instead, my laughs come as a result of me predicting the response the piece will get from you. In it, the writer, Dr. Louann Brizendine, discusses the makeup of a man’s brain, and why we (men) can’t help doing the things that we do … like staring at breasts and butts.

Dear Fly Guy, I have a situation. Here goes: I have genital herpes, and have had it for the last 13 years. I am on daily suppression medication and go to regular doctor visits. I contracted it from my live-in boyfriend via oral; he had a cold sore on his lip, performed oral on me and presto!

I’m not a fan of divorce—and I probably never will be. But I have to admit that I found a small bit of joy after reading the following divorce letter. This guy has seemingly mastered the art of subtly pouring salt on his wife’s still fresh wounds. So I have to ask you: am I wrong for finding this hilarious? Check it out, and let me know.

Mar 23rd, 2010 | By admin | Category: Fly Perspectives

I will never lose sight of the power of love. Nor will I ever forsake the gift of expression. That’s why I get excited when it’s time to unveil another segment of Love Quotables. In each installment, I get to honor those who also believe in the sacredness of self-expression, and who prove as much by pouring their heart out through their words.

It's Time To Explain My Absence

Mar 23rd, 2010 | By admin | Category: Fly Guy TV

Many have asked where I’ve been over the last month or so, and I figured I owed you all an explanation. But instead of whipping up some fancily written justification, I decided to do it face-to-face with a morning video. I hope you accept my apology, and if you don’t … then … well … ummm … I’m not sure what to tell you.

Video Showdown: SWV vs. The Deele

Mar 22nd, 2010 | By admin | Category: Fly Music

I can’t get enough of old school love songs from the 90’s—well, old school for me that is. I’m sure there’s some of you that claim the Temptations as your old school, while others may consider B2K as throwback. No matter your preference, this new fly feature will pit two songs against each other in a weekly showdown. First up: SWV faces off against The Deele.
