@msbliss, I am going to assume you are not implying that I am less of a Christian because I do not see the fact that Christ did not love from afar the same way you do. Christ also never sinned but we all have. So while as Christians we should strive to develop the same character as He, we will always fall short which is why we will constantly need Him.

You can love someone from afar by sincerely praying for them, friends and enemies just the same, in my opinion. I do not think you are silly or insane at all, you just have to do what you will feel right doing.

Why love from afar? Did christ love from afar or did he sit with the sinners and not the saints? I have no expectations about her reaction and its not required. I forgive her and I love her as I love myself. Real forgiveness and love has no expectations. I watched a woman on television teach a convicted murderer how to read ,the same one who killed her daughter. People hurt others cause their hurting the only thing that cures hurt is love. How can you love someone from afar? Why would I want to when I have the chance to be a blessing in their life? I don’t chose to love her for acceptance or to remove pain. I’m not in pain anymore and therefore I cause no pain. You might think of me as silly or insane But I am great. I feel good and my inner peace is solid. If I could spread even a little piece of that to her, a friend, a loved one, or a enemy I am satisfied. Its not a joy or state of being I could ever explain But my hope is that you discover it yourself. Thanx for your feedback though.

Hmm…while I respect your desire to approach the situation maturely with this other woman, msbliss, I do not think it is productive in your quest to move forward from this pain. You should love from afar. I find that writing helps. Whatever you want to say to her and to him, write it out, then burn it or something. I think that should you approach her and that situation does not go as well as your heart is hoping it will, you will be more heartbroken. Forgiveness is a strong trait not many people are blessed to have…so nurture it but don’t allow it to be abused. Move on and brighter days are ahead for you.

Thank U all sOooo much for the support! I feel so much better when I chose to forgive and bring about peace to the situation. Me and him are still very close and I offer him my love and support everyday. I’ve learned the girl he cheated on me with had the same thing happen to her with her current husband. That expression hurt people, hurt people is very Real. She’s afraid to talk to me But I want to talk to her to break the ice and say I forgive her. Maybe even end it with a hug. The only cure for hate and pain is Love, genuine unconditional love. I can’t decribe to yall how good it feels when you forgive and are able to help those who’ve hurt you. Its life changing and eye opening.

Yes mbliss, everything happens for a reason hun. Take it as a lesson learned..there is a great song by alicia keys called lesson learned I used to listen to it a lot when I went through a bad breakup, you are a strong woman and I wish you the best.

Onenmilgirl, yea the baby is his and I decided to end the relationship. Its just time and I realized it wasn’t working out anyway between us. I’m okay but because we work 2gether and the girl likes to pop up on my shift often to try to hurt me it still very rocky. All my coworkers know about it and some talk about me and him. It hurts but I deal with it better when I don’t have to be @work. I’m angry @him but I forgive him and hope it works out 4 him. Although I no long want to be with him it still hurts bad cause I no longer will be apart of the family u kno. I didn’t bother visiting his family on Xmas and if I see his kids again ill probably cry lol. This has been a nightmare but I’m thankful to God the worst is over. I’m looking for a new job helping special needs kids something fulfilling and helping me deal with the hurt. I haven’t really cried and that’s scaring me. I know life will go on and big things are awaiting me But the road there is very heavy and depressing right now.
