I decided to write down a few of my thoughts that I needed to share with the future Mrs. Fly Guy. Bear with us as we have this all too important conversation … it’s a discussion that I think all couples should have.

She told me I was handsome … I returned the compliment. She asked if I was interested in her … I replied that I was. She questioned if she was ready to jump into a new relationship … I responded with “why not?”

It’s been a while since we’ve featured a Fly Recipe, so I figured there was no time like the present to add another meal to your repertoire. Now if you’ve been paying attention, I’ve consistently preached the importance of men learning how to cook.

If communication is the key to happiness, then the ability to have tough conversations with your significant other may be the act that turns the key and unlocks the door to a lifetime of happiness. (I know, enough with the metaphors.) It’s true, though. I believe it’s virtually impossible to have a successful long-term relationship if the two of you can’t handle tough conversations.

Today’s piece focuses on a question consistently asked, but rarely answered in a meaningful way: “Do men know how to love?” I haven’t even started yet, but I can already hear a loud and very passionate chorus of women ready to express their sincere belief that no man is capable of loving someone in a meaningful way.

I was initially overwhelmed … taken aback by a love that seemed so unreal. Was this the blessing I had patiently been waiting for? Was she the final stop on a long and arduous relationship journey? I think so … no scratch that, I know so.

Let’s start this Friday off on the right foot by cranking up the love jukebox. I’ll start by posting my video of the day, Shai “Comforter.” In return, I need you to leave me a song in the comment box, and I’ll add the video to the post. By the end of the day, we should have a nice selection of our favorite videos that conjure of the best and worst emotions as it relates to love and relationships. Let’s go.

Hi Fly Guy, My boyfriend and I have been together for 2 years. About 4 months ago, I moved to a different state to be with him and we moved in together.
