The Journey To Better Days

We all come from different backgrounds, which I’ve come to both understand and appreciate. It’s those same differences that make this world so great, and what ultimately creates the spice within our romantic relationships. But no matter how different we are, or what we may believe in, we all experience tough periods in our lives—especially in the area of love.

Some of the lowest moments in my life have come about as a result of my dealings with a woman. At the time, there was no amount of physical pain that could match or exceed the excruciating rawness that was caused by having my heart ripped out.

I’m sure we’ve all been there.

And during those dark days, when I felt like the sun would never shine again, something inside of me would eventually begin to reawaken. That stirring reminded me that even when I wasn’t feeling loved by others in the natural sense, there was something and someone much greater that continued to love me through it all.

That gave me hope.

That hope would in time give way to faith … a faith that would mend my heart and provide an optimistic eye towards a brighter future where my circumstances had improved. The great thing about this story is that things always did get better—no matter how low I sank.

I honestly believe that someone needed to hear that today. I can only hope that my faith can help to restore your own belief that things will get better.

Keep your head up.

Fly Lyrics:
[Verse 1:]
If I could I, I’d get away
far from all this trouble I see everyday
Nobody wants to show their face
This life is like a, like a mascerade
I know you love me
I know you care
but while I’m hurtin I just need to know your there
Watchin over me and I feel your tellin me

[Chorus:]
Count it all joy and always remember, life will get better it’s gonna get better
No matter the weapon it will not prosper, things will get better it’s gonna get better

[Verse 2:]
Persecuted, pushed away, didn’t think I’d live to see another day
cried some tears and couldn’t pray and when I’d try at times I couldn’t find the words to say, but now
I’m stronger, because of you without you Jesus I never could’ve made it through
thank you for watchin me lovin me and tellin me

[Chorus: (x2)]
Count it all joy and always remember, life will get better it’s gonna get better
No matter the weapon it will not prosper, things will get better it’s gonna get better

[Bridge:]
Life sometimes will change and nobody wants to proclaim, but it’s him to help you grow and there’s nothin
you need to know
God’s in love with you and he’ll never let you go

[Chorus: (x2)]
Count it all joy and always remember, life will get better it’s gonna get better
No matter the weapon it will not prosper, things will get better it’s gonna get better

it’s gonna get better
it’s gonna get better
it’s gonna get better

thank you for this. i am having a hard time in my life right now and everyday God awakes me trying to let me know that he has me and eventually things will get better. sometimes it comes so hard to stay faithful but thank you. just hearing someone say “it’s gone get better” without knowing all of my circumstances reminds me that God still has me so i have to continue to hold fast to him. thank- you!
