I do have one special Fly Request: Share you fondest childhood memory of Valentine’s Day. I’ll even follow suit, and post mine in the comment section.

You win hands down for posting that. Absolutely.
I think I will definitely avail myself of this while at the job. Brings back so many memories.
Speaking of childhood memories, I think getting a valentine from the “cute” girls in 8th grade as a 7th grader was kind of a coup for me. Even if they were just trying to be nice, I was the only 7th grader to get something from them. Heh.
In the twisted side of Valentine’s Day, you might find a laugh in Valentine’s Day video card:

Again, thanks for the Charlie Brown video. I like the site by the way! I’ll be sure to check it out some more!
Darn you and your videos! You are presenting a strong argument for my getting a web-compatible cell phone (but alas, my pocketbook decries such frivolity).
My best childhood (does HS count) Valentine’s was in 11th grade when this guy Vincent not only sent me a “sweetie’s gram”, but came to my class and delivered a bouquet of flowers (not the standard single carnation everyone else got), tore it up Kenny G style on his saxophone, and gave me a balloon and a teddy bear. Ahhh, memories :-)
LOL I just wasted so much time.
“The amount of money that you spend on a present should be in direct proportion to the amount of affection you have for that person.” Who knew Linus was so profound? :-P
Favorite childhood memory: In middle school, students could send candygrams to each other. I received 5. I was a big deal in my homeroom that day. LOL
And I’m still confused how that poem by Elizabeth Barrett Browning managed to fit on that miniscule candy heart.
When I was in 3rd grade, my friend Khalil asked me to be his valentine. He brought me candy and a card to school everyday for like 2 weeks, then on V-day, I got a whole bunch of candy and a nice card and a bear. That was the sweetest Valentine’s day I ever had.
@ FG
I’m still awaiting your anecdote, sir.
