Ugghhh! Can’t watch the video at work! Fie on you, network administrators…
Valentines day is just another hustle…
Romance is showing appreciation…small things like forehead kisses, his hand in the small of my back in public, him making funny faces at me to make me smile, gifts for no reason, a card out the blue…that’s romance to me but I’m sure each person has their own definition
I think this is the second time in my life I will be sharing Valentine’s day with someone. Last time was when I was 18. Valentine’s day was awesome in elementary school since you got to get the cool vtines day cards and all the candy and making hearts out of construction paper and gluing on the fake lace trim..lol
I have never really had too many ill feelings about the day. If you have someone then great, if not well then spend it with your friends, get drunk, be merry together.
What is romance to me? I’m a cornball and people usually think i’m weird when it comes to romance. I think remembering little things can be romantic. Like if I told you when I was a kid my hot pink skip it with heart stickers was stolen by that wretched girl daisy down the street and then you go and GET me a pink skip it with hearts on it…that is too sweet. lol.
I’ve never liked Valentine’s Day. It’s not even because I’m some lonely, single, bitter woman who’s jealous of those in love. My boyfriend and I have been together for a while and are still in love with each other. We show each other everyday by the little things we do that our feelings for each other are real. If we needed one special day to show each other (above and beyond) how we really feel, we can just use our anniversary. It’s more personal and meaningful.
I dislike how Valentine’s Day seems to put people, singles and couples, on this emotional roller-coaster….like if they don’t get anything that day, it means they aren’t loved….or that the guy is madly in love with you because he gives you a teddy bear and some roses. I hope that people will stop being blinded by this commercialized holiday and see what’s truly going on in their lives. I’m not saying don’t celebrate it; by all means, show the people you love that you care, but just don’t start to see things through rose-colored glasses because someone decided to follow the hype and buy you a box of candy.
Either way, I wish you a happy valentines day….and a happy every day. :)
Valentines day commercials and propaganda sends too many subliminal messages BUY THIS, BUT THAT, GO HERE, GO THERE, WEAR THIS, DON’T WEAR NOTHING AT ALL, lol.THATS JUST MY OPINION. Show me some love, appreciation compassion, and show that you care the other 364 days.
HAPPY V-DAY EVERYONE OR ANTI-V-DAY EVERYONE !!!!!!
