I love me because I’m a good father that would die for my kids. I may not be rich, but they will never lack in the love department. That’s why I love me.

ok. let’s see. I love me, because I genuinely care about the welfare of others. Like, I’m the first one to volunteer at shelters, or give my last to someone in need. I love me for that.

Sidebar: FG, thank you for posting this, and making me write something good about myself. I have been dealing with a man that makes me doubt my worth. I know I shouldn’t be in a situation like that, but I’m trying to get out of it. I’m saying that to say that I until you made me think about it, I honestly don’t think I was loving myself like I should. Thank you. And I love you back.

Love for self, is self realization. I write, i share my soul, i love myself in the fact that i’ve found i can help others through my words!

On the real, I love me for working 3 jobs to pay my way through school. A lesser man would have given up, so I have to always remind myself of that, and what I’ve been able to overcome if I ever get down on myself.

I love myself because. This is pathetic. I started writing my response and couldn’t get past because. People say I’m strong but I never really have felt strong. I guess I just endure pain better than others because it’s all I’ve ever known. I’ve endured sexual abuse as a child. Growing up with a mother who loved the man that molested her children more than God himself. Having nothing and homelessness due to the addiction of my ‘parents’. Raising a child on my own. I could go on but I’m still here. I still have my life together. I love myself because no matter what others do to tear me apart God keeps me together.

I love myself because I, as in ME, took away failure as an option for me. I motivate me FIRST, then ALLOW others to do so. I live my life without malice or mischief and with a heart absent of lingering hurt for it doesn’t serve any purpose after the deed is done. I only answer to me, myself and God. I laugh at the simple oxymoron of “YOU telling ME what BEE needs.” I have the courage, the strength and the persistence to keep it moving for me and my daughter by any means necessary. I look at her every day and marvel at this proof of my perserverance, determination and my faith in Him…ooooh now, see I gotta go..too much emotion up in here for this Sista Girl! Thank you, Fly Guy for helping me remember ME. I surely needed that.

This was a lot harder than I expected it to be! I didn’t want to list the reasons why I think people love me, but one of the reasons I love myself.

I love me because I always try to see the best in people, even when I’ve had bad results. I still continue to have an optimistic faith in others and the times I’m rewarded are worth the times when I’m not.

I love myself because I’m still standing. I’ve defeated the many challenges presented and persevered. I’ve never allowed my looks to define me or dictate my path, and although some people seem incapable or unwilling to NOT judge me on my appearance and doubt me because of it, I’m still here and excelling. So bring it all on. I’ll face it and still come out on top. That’s why I love me.

Hmmm….if someone breaks me down or tries to, I get back up. If I break myself down, I get back up. I fight everyday (mostly myself and past events that sometimes haunt me) to grow and learn and become a better person, friend, mother, daughter, sister. I am a fighter, a survivor. My daughter is my inspiration and God is my anchor. This was a very difficult question for me to answer, very difficult. Thanks FG for forcing me to look in the mirror….in a positive way.

Yeah we only tend to look at ourselves in the mirror to point out the negative. That side is important, but we also need to make sure that we never lose sight of all that’s good about us.

I love me because Jesus loves me. He died for me, so that I can live. I love me because I am a great mother. My son lets me know in every hug and kiss that he gives me!

I love myself because I see the possitive progress in myself instead of looking at what bigger and better things other people have. I think about what others my age don’t have and how blessed I’ve been and continue to be.

Man, you can tell it’s Friday and my mind is gone because when I first read the title of this post all I could think of was, “damn I need to get some batteries!” LOL – okay, now that I’ve picked my mind out of the gutter and dried it off…

Why do I love me? I love how I’ve grown over the years. From a shy, insecure little girl, to an outgoing, strong, confident woman. It took years of heartache + struggle to get there, but I’m proud of how I’ve pulled myself through. I love my kindness, my open-heart, my heritage, the family I come from (who no doubt shaped me); I love the talents I possess; I love my mind, and am amazed at how much knowledge I can consume, and how much creativity I can spit out; I’m in love with my body, and every curve, freckle, dimple and thank God for all it does for me for every heartbeat, every breath I take in, and how it knows what to do to keep me enjoying this life I live.

I love myself because I’m a very unique soul I love myself despite some of my flaws because I’m human and I’am entitled to make mistakes and learn from them.I give despite my hardships, I love regardless of being hurt,I cherish and make myself available to each and every person who plays a part in my life because without (some) of them I wouldn’t be who I’am today. I love myself because I am where I am in my life. Hard work has gotten me here and I look and feel great about myself.

Its good to know there are folks who actually feel the same way I do. I make sure I do three things everyday. I wake up look n the mirror and say “I am/I can”, I try to help or inspire at least one person a day and continur to refrain from using that disgusting phrase “I can’t”. i love myself because i am not perfect..and im aware of the flaws and imperfections. instead of complaining (like i usually would), i now embrace and accept it and realize this is what makes me, ME

I love me because God has made me into a fighter. The past years have been challenging for me, but regardless of the obstacles I faced, God always gives me the strength to fight back and never give up. I was diagnosed with lupus almost 3 years ago and I’ve always refused to let this disease define me: I live better now, I laugh harder, my smile is wider, and most importantly I love myself better now.

I love myself becasue I am a creation of my parents. I love myself because at the end of the day the only person I can depend on to make sure Im ok or that I accomplish anything I want to is Myself. I love myself because I learned over the years that A person cannot expect alot of someone else and that A person doesnt owe you a DAMN thing… its just we as Humans feel its the right thing to do.
Lastly I love myself because Im different from everybody else and thats what makes me Unique and Special. I HAVE MY OWN IDENTITY!!!!

I love myself for being so strong (for me and my brother) when my mother dealt with cancer and then have to turn around and have her colon removed. I had to keep my emotions to myself so that my mother wouldn’t think that if it was her time to go that I wouldn’t be able to handle it. I love me for still smiling through it all. Oh and mom’s is doing very well now. All smiles.

I accidently came across this page while surfing the net and found this article. You said it was mandatory, so I felt obligated to write! LOL Also, I can’t pass up on an opportunity to talk about how much I love ME (it’s the narcissist in me…sorry lol)

Honesty is an important quality that many people take for granted and I believe that being true and honest to one self is far more essential than one can imagine. And that’s why I love ME! I love myself because not only am I loyal, but I’m smart, determined, cute, a wonderful girlfriend and friend, and I have put myself through 7 years of college, 3 majors, and a concentration and I’ve still managed to be able to send money home when needed. I am also VERY aware of my own faults and am willing to work on them, there’s not a lot of people that are aware of what they do wrong. And I’m a very giving and caring person.

I love me because God broke the mold when he made me. You might as well say, I’m a collectors’ item, LOL! A rare find, limited edition! But hold up, I didn’t always feel that way; but you know what? I know I love me, because I’m getting better and better at giving it as well as receiving it…………..

Let’s see…I love myself because I had my first child at a young age and was able to overcome a lot of obstacles and finish school go to college get a great job and not become a statistic.

This is a great excercise. After going through a divorce I have spent the last two years literally falling in love with myself. Sometimes when you are a part of a “we” you spend all your time appreciating the fact that your a couple and you lose sight of how remarkable you are as an individual. I can honestly say I love my creativity. I love that I am so passionate about my work that I go to sleep thinking of ways to put my clients on top of the world. I love the fact that I am the type of person that will always treat others fairly, even if that often results in me being taken advantage of. I have begun learning to love things about myself that I never saw before, my eyes, my smile, my brown skin tone, my curves. I think we women spend so much time picking things out we don’t like about ourselves that we feel guilty celebrating things that we do like. I am learning not to do that. Thanks Fly Guy for giving me a reason to reiterate these things to myself 2day.
