Okay, #1 is probably more for someone you’ve been with a while. To tell a new date you’re proud of them might come off a little weird. (We’ve only been out twice and you’re already invested enough to feel pride for *my* actions?)

Now, #2 & 3 are so money. Us girls need to understand that guys need to feel like guys. As far as we’ve come in the women’s lib movement and are completely independent, men still need to feel like a man, like they can still provide, protect, etc. “I can’t open this jar, can you help me?” Trust me girls, it works.

I have another thought on this…

I don’t think there should be an issue about saying any of the above to the guy you’re seeing. There’s nothing wrong with telling him “I’m proud of you”, it’s always good to say “thank you”, and as for asking for an opinion, why not? I ask my bf’s opinion all the time and he ask for mine. It’s a little give and take. Think about it, as women, wouldn’t we like to hear the same things every once and a while?

hmm nice.

I’d feel awkward telling a guy I’m dating “I’m proud of you,” I’d probably settle for “that is so… cool, pretty impressive.”

Hopefully their interchangeable (^_^)

I told my boyfriend “thank you” for washing a sink full of dishes last night after dinner. I also told him that I appreciate that he always does the dishes after I cook. To that, he said this, “a real man does the dishes after his woman cooks a meal..”
