My First Kiss

Sixth grade will always have a special place in my heart. Outside of me sprouting my first signs of facial hair, it also marked the year of my first kiss. I mean sure, I had kissed girls in the past, but had never experienced … (dare I say) … the tongue. But I was 12 years old, and feeling frisky; so in my eyes, it was time for me to become a “man.”

Her name was Renata, and everything about her oozed perfection. (Ok, I know she was only 11, but in my mind she was practically a Victoria’s Secret model). I won’t go into the sordid details of our 15 second love affair; just know that it forever changed my life (And that Renata told everyone in the school that I had magic lips … just thought I’d share with you that little tidbit.)

So in commemoration of that special moment with Renata, I decided to create a soundtrack using some of my favorite obscure love songs that still evoke pleasant memories of my sometimes awkward journey through puberty.

    I love those songs FG! OMG, I thought I was the only one that remembered Perfect Gentlemen. Hmm, let’s see. My first kiss was in 4th grade. I know, awful right? But it was nice and sweet. When I think about that time in my life, the first song that comes to mind is Al B. Sure’s Nite and Day. That is the official song for my teen years. Thanks for the memories FG!

    All of those song are good ‘first kisser’ themes! LOL! It really brought back my memory of the first kiss for me. Those were the good ol’ days huh?

    all i could think when i clicked on this post was that that lil boy looks like my son…..

    but i don’t remember my 1st kiss, prolly cause it sucked….and i am skraight DEAD cause brock said he bout to go get the damn tapes out…..lmao

    my dad was a dj in the area and he made me a cd of all of the old jams i hear them whenever i want but my first kiss was to ABC jelous girl with Anthony A. Although i turned it around on the boys. Anthony Erick, Jason, and Anre´a who i later broke my virginity to in high school. (and now have two beautiful children together 3 yo and 7mo) thanks for the 5th and 6th grade player days. i loved them all.
