I Don’t Love You Back

Here’s the scenario: You’ve been dating this person for quite a while now, and things are going great. You’ve tried your best to take things one day at a time, but your mate doesn’t live by that same creed. Over dinner one night, he or she looks you in eyes and says, “I love you.”

*Gulp*

Under normal circumstances, this moment would be magical. There’s only one problem though. You don’t love them back. So in this instance, what do you do?

a. Say I love you too
b. Stare at them blankly
c. Crack a joke
d. Begin to “choke” on your biscuit
e. None of the above

Well what do you think?

I’d be choking on that biscuit like nobody’s business! Usually I don’t have a problem discussing important stuff when I’m in a relationship with someone, but in this situation…my acting skills would kick in, pronto.

Seriously, I really don’t know what I would do, probably I’d do choice B and try to find the courage to say that “I’m not there yet”.

Ummm yeah I would say b, c and d…. if I can pick more than one answer. It would be the blank stare first, followed by the choke and then the joke (lol); I’m thinking something along the lines of “Stop playing, you so silly!”
I told myself that I would not say those words again until I’m walking down the aisle or I’m on some island in front of a preacher…. those words sound so good but only when you are both saying it so um yeah until then I’ll stick with “I like you a lot!” lol!

BEEN there…I just said, uh, Thankyou!….
    Man it was awkward.
But, If Im not really feeling it, I cant say it.
Also, I felt it, and wouldnt say it to my man now. He just straight up asked me one day, ” Do you love me?”
I said yeah, he said ‘me too’. We are both not big on words. I think its come out once more, in a txt lol…we both just already know it and dont need to hear it all the time.

i loooooooooooove love but i use to rush into things way too quickly…. now i don’t say it until either the other person says it or until i’m sure…
When i’m in love though, i love telling him as much as i can that i love him, only in the right moments though.. :)

I’d probably choke on the biscuit, and when I recovered, I’d say “That’s sweet.” Or I’d say something like “You just love playing in my hair” or something silly. I won’t lie, but I’ll attempt to play it off.
