I Saw You In God’s Mind

Words are powerful. And if used correctly, they can be a very capable ally in your ongoing battle to express your feelings to a loved one. While words alone certainly aren’t enough to fully prove the extent of your love; expressions like the one below, certainly go a long way in driving your point home.

Before creation I saw you in God’s mind
I wanted to talk to you, but before I could open my mouth
You were gone and that’s when I was born.
That day I cried while every one was smiling
Cause I had to start searching for you.

Each time I thought of you I cried and my mother gave
me her breast cause she thought I was hungry.
Many times I refused, and a doctor was called
As they thought I wasn’t well.
Daydreaming I smiled and no one understood
as God was telling me that you were safe

Each day God’s visits were becoming less as I was growing up.
I was getting concerned as I thought
God will give me directions on how to find you.
When I reached my teen stage I thought
I would be able to find you on my own.
Only if God would have told me that
From a world afar you were already born.

A journey to an unknown destination I started.
Like a tourist without a map I continued
Not knowing whether I was going to the right direction.
Day and night I’ve traveled in light and darkness
And through rainy and sunny days
I heard your sweet voice from afar and I was encouraged.

A lifetime of searching it was and still no success
I became discouraged, hopeless and heartbroken
Like a traveler lost in a desert I felt, on the eve of
Giving up I heard your sweet voice again, I
Turned around and you were walking towards
The opposite direction. Your face I couldn’t see
My heart started beating like a water pump
During a hot summer day in South Georgia

I followed you until I saw your face and my heart
Paused, an Angel on earth? I asked myself
“A face from creation” whispered a loud voice from
a distance. A face so beautiful like reflections of
colors from a pure diamond. “My Queen” said
my heart while hypnotized by your smile.
I reached and touched your hands; inside my
Heart I said, “I’ve no life without you”
