The first time I heard Raheem DeVaughn’s “Mo Better,” I began to think about the incomparable feeling of having someone special in your life. But not just anyone; I’m talking about the kind of special love that always seems to make your life better—through both good and bad times. Can you relate to that type of love? If so, then let the world know.
The Lyrics:
Even if I don’t have much to my name
And through the ups and downs that come with fame in my life
You pat me on the back and rub away the pain
‘Cause you’re my baby, my darlin’
Priceless, you’re priceless,
No dollar amount can buy the friendship you bring
You are the first lady worthy of a king, my queen
The moment I set eyes on you, I knew I would fall
See life ain’t so bad after all
You make it better, better, better, better
You make it better, you make it better
You make it better, you make it better, you make it better
You make it better, better, better, better
You make it better, you make it better
You make it better, you make it
I know your love gets more better, more better with time
Like a rainbow cutting through to take out the clouds
And you come around girl and make me smile
It’s a joy to hear you say things will work out somehow
‘Cause you’re my baby, my darlin’
So promise, promise me and I’ll promise you
Promise and I’ll make a vow to you
‘Cause from the moment I set eyes on you
I knew that fairy tales come true
See life ain’t so bad after all
You make it better

Love this song BUT what about when you stand by them only for the good times to come along and they forget when you stood by them and then leave??? This goes for men and women
Lexyb
….who have been there through thick and thin. Hope I don’t put a damper on a wonderful song
NotJustEyeCandy
Yes!!!! I heard this song on the radio yesterday and couldn’t help smiling, thinking about my baby!

yeah that’s a great feeling to have. Once you find that good person that makes your life better, hold on to them…in the same vein though, you need to make sure that you are making their life better as well.

Yes, I have experienced this kind of letter @ least twice in my life. The first time I was immature (just coming out of high school) and I didn’t want that kind of love. I wanted to do whatever I wanted.
Second time I experienced this love it was with a woman who I was having an affair with. Eventually the woman left me alone after me and the mother of my daughters bought a home. Eventually she left me as well. Payback, I imagine.
The next time I am fortunate to experience this special love I will marry it. The end.

i feel you Lexyb. . . you want to hit that dude in the face with a bat (i’m violent with my words but i would never. . .), i hate when you are that ride or die chic and then they leave you or they hurt you over some dumb crap!
the words are pretty and i pray that we all find a love like that but until then i’m great loving myself until that love arrives. . .

I can relate. I am getting married on June 7th and was searching for a song that would personify me and my love…When I heard Raheem, i cried. He is such an amazing artist. He is such a breath of fresh air. The words of this song burn in your soul, its like he sings it from experience. This is that deep down love, that been through “thangs” love…and I love it!

I am currently single but I absolutely adore this song
The Fly Guy
single…taken, it really doesn’t matter. The song gives you a great perspective on how it should be.
sunshine
all I can do is smile…I tagged this song when i first bought the album as a single…it’s the epitome of what we all should strive for when loving and looking to be loved. I imagine that my husband (whomever he may be) will be singing this song to me EVERYDAY. God is working on that…go head FG. ;)

I agree with you sunshine. And I agree, kudos to you FG for picking the song.
I pray that God is working on that husband for me too. And I hope he’s singing this song, and Usher’s Here I Stand
