Guest Feature- Definition of a Womanizer
The term womanizer gets tossed about more often than Britney and K-Fed’s kids in family court. And while the term can be viewed in either a positive or negative light depending on who you ask, an overwhelming majority of society has no clue of where the term is actually derived. Enter today’s guest columnist, Joi of U Bring Me Joi. This talented model/writer has capably stepped up to the plate to provide us with a road map to the origin of the term, as well as detail several character traits of a womanizer. The word “Casanova” evolved from an Italian womanizer who had over a hundred one night stands. Casanova was a lady killer from Venice; he would wine and dine women, charm them, make them feel beautiful and irresistible, take them to bed, and … move on to the next woman the next day.
Casanovas are also known as womanizers, lotharios, tom cats, lady killers, seducers, predators and players. Many womanizers have a “line” for picking up women; they have a whole strategy from start to finish. After you learn how to recognize a womanizer, you’ll see through his facade.
The personality traits of womanizers make them easy to recognize.
Womanizers are master manipulators. Though the words “Casanova”, “tom cat”, “womanizer”, “lothario” and “seducer” may seem flirty and flattering, the behavior of lady killers is far from innocent. The sooner you learn to recognize a womanizer, the better off you’ll be.
How to Recognize a Womanizer
Womanizers are charming. They’re attentive, interested, curious – and they make women feel special. Womanizers have one goal: to get a woman into bed as quickly as possible and then move on to the next one. They’re seducers who are addicted to the “power” they feel when seducing women. This is one way to recognize a womanizer: they’re addicted to the chase and challenge of love.
Womanizers are often in touch with women’s feelings, and can adeptly manipulate those feelings to their advantage. For instance, a womanizer will express empathy for a woman’s professional or personal problems, and let the woman vent her feelings. Once she feels comfortable and relaxed with the lady killer, he’ll make his move.
Womanizers are good at what they do.

I agree with some of the statements said. Most men do love the “chase” aspect of going after a woman. The process is exciting I must admit, and having done my fair share of “womanizing”, I have done it usually to see how a woman values herself. Will she give in to the sweet words, money spent, and the “Let me give you a back massage.” lines in our extensive repertoire. Or will she value her ideals to wait and not fall for the okey doke. I mean really, what’s to be said about the women who fall prey to such tactics and wordplay? Are they naive for falling for the banana in the tail pipe…or do they just not value themselves more. Hmmm…

I’m not saying that 99% of the time we are lying, and I can safely say that in my case the sweet words are genuine and I have meant everything I said. I’m just saying make us work for it, easy wins are never fun.

D@mn Chris you sound like Marcus from “Boomerang” that must be your favorite movie or who you based your whole life trying to be like. . .lol! I’m just kidding! Not sure if you seen the movie but you see what happened to him at the end of the movie, he got burned! The sweet words mean so much and then you get it and all the romance and sweet words go right out the door. . . MEN, what do we do with you guys!

I’m a reformed “womanizer” now Joi…the first step is acknowledging you have a problem. And as a matter of fact, “Boomerang” is one of my favorite movies…that and “How To Be A Player”, some of Bill Bellamy’s best work to this day. That man deserves an Oscar. Anyways, I just wanted to see what the women thought about personal responsibility and not falling for the games.

I think that when you are young we all fall for games and to be honest sometimes we know it’s all a game too! Then again there are some of us that take your words as truth and we don’t pair your words with your actions. I’m a firm believer that its your actions that speak volumes, I have been young and I’ve falling for the “okey doke” but I’m hip to the game now and way to wise for “The Casanova’s” sweet words.
So how is your reformation going? lol!
