Once upon a time, you could look your loved one in the eyes and say, “I love you, and need you in my life….please don’t go.” And more often than not, she would stay. But those days are long gone, as love has suddenly become more complicated than the time I tried to learn the names of Flava Flav’s kids (Hey, I actually did better than him.)
This dilemma begs the following question to be asked: What happened to the days when love flowed freely and was easy like Sunday morning? And how can we get back to those days? Or is it even possible?
Sound off with your own thoughts, and share with us your recollections of love’s “good old days.” To add to the nostalgia, I’ve posted a video from Boyz II Men’s MTV Unplugged performance of “Please Don’t Go.” (Shout out to Alexis, my 8th grade sweetheart.)

I think love lost its mark in the late 90’s. Seems like that was the age of the “Bootycalls” and “How To Be A Playa”. After that, it wasn’t about finding the one of your dreams, but about getting as much booty as you could in the shortest amount of time. Hell it still is, divorce rates are at an all time high…I blame Bill Bellamy.

This makes me want to pull out Hi-Five and listen to the Kissing Game. I think love just seemed simpler because we grew up. Adult love is so much more complicated than kid love.
The Fly Guy
I’m glad you cleared that one up Crissy. I was about to email your husband to tell him that he needs to step his game up…lol
chrissy snow

Raven
Well what is love and where do you find it? Becuz im 26 and have yet to stumble across it.
Chris W.
@Raven,
You’re 26 and still haven’t found love. I’d say a good place to stumble across it would be the club…atleast that’s what Usher says. :)
chrissy snow
damn this chris w is a mess, lmao find love in a damn club, you might find lust, or a dude or lady you can kick it with for a min but love naw……
Raven
lol @ love in the club….ppl front when they go to clubs. That’s not the real them. I’ve never had a relationship. Maybe I should stop looking and let it find me? but its taking to long to find me LOL..so Im gonna take Chris advice and hit the club 2nite..let’s see wut i find
The Fly Guy
You’re probably not going to find what you’re looking for. Usher was making love in the club…not finding love. Just take your time and let it come to you, instead of going out looking for it…more often than not, you’ll find trouble.
