I normally stay away from radio singles when selecting my weekly Fly Lyrics Feature. But I felt Rihanna’s latest single, “Take A Bow” was well worth the change. As I listened to the lyrics, my thoughts began to drift to those who eventually grow tired of the empty promises and apologies thrown about by (in)significant others.

The writing had been on the wall for quite some time now. You just refused to read it. Why? Because as far as you were concerned, you had found the man of your dreams, and there was nothing anyone could say or do to change that. There was however, one slight problem … The feeling wasn’t mutual.

Dear Fly Guy, I had a strange relationship with my ex, which eventually came to an end. After initially attempting to be civil, I finally got to the point where I had enough and asked him to stop contacting me. He wouldn’t listen though. At first I took the diplomatic approach, and then I tried the “Super B*tch” approach, but he still refused to stop.

How many of us have ever stared true love right in the face, only to inexplicably allow it to pass us by? Though unfortunate, it happens more often than any of us may care to admit. As fate would have it, by the time we do come to our senses, it’s oftentimes too late to claim what should have been ours from the start.

We’ve all been guilty of losing control with the one we love. And as much as I’ve searched for an explanation as to why this feeling randomly comes about, I’m admittedly at a loss. When you think about it, there’s really not a foolproof method for detecting when it’s going to overtake you.

As I prepare for my annual series on cheating, I felt the need to get the pulse of the people. For most, the idea of getting caught is enough to steer you away from being unfaithful in your relationship. But what if there was absolutely no way that you could get caught?

My girl Necole Bitchie is firm in her belief that she at times suffers from an inability to focus. But what I found to be intriguing was her view that this was in many ways ruining her dating life. Check out what she said…

Today, I’ve decided to step aside and feature one of my favorite blog friends. Jenee of JSpace, posted an insightful feature on the highly publicized Jay-Z and Beyonce nuptials. Her thoughts should generate lots of discussion, so please read, comment, and share with others.

Before I begin, let me make one thing very clear: I actually like Danity Kane (well, about as much as a guy can safely like a girl group without raising the collective eyebrows of his boys.) So this shouldn’t be viewed as me hating on them in any way, shape or form. I just happen to have a deep seated disdain for their latest single, “Damaged.”
