The Purpose of A Girlfriend

Dear Fly Guy,
I’ve been asking myself this question over and over again, so I figured I’d share it with you. Exactly what is the purpose of a girlfriend? Because for the love of God I just don’t know right now. I thought I was ready to commit to my current girlfriend, but each day I find myself wondering what her role is in my life. Girlfriends just seem so pointless right now. So what do you think? Is it even worth it to have a girlfriend?
Donovan
Dear Donovan,
Where do I begin. Well for starters, I feel you’re asking the wrong the question here. Instead of searching for the true purpose of a girlfriend, you should now be asking yourself why you’re with your current one in the first place. You seem to be about as unhappy as Eddie Murphy at a paternity hearing. The thing about Eddie though is he just avoids the situation all together, while you seem to secretly enjoy being miserable in your current relationship. The right person is out there for you, and when she comes you’ll know it. But in the meantime, don’t waste your time and energy on someone that obviously doesn’t deserve it. If I were you, I’d make her disappear faster than a Mike Vick endorsement deal. Trust me on this one.
