Let’s Help Jeff

Dear Fly Guy,
I had an incident with my girlfriend the other day, and I was hoping you could help me out. We have arguments from time to time, but it seems like she has become extremely violent lately. She even hit me when our discussion became heated while at a restaurant last week. What do [...]

Volume 14- Avoiding The “L” Word

I love you. Let’s face it, at some point we all want to be told those three magic words. And if you’re reading this right now shaking your head in disagreement, then maybe you needed about two more hugs as a child. But what happens when you start dating someone, and they drop the “L” [...]

Change Your Perspective

As I’m writing this, I’m peacefully soaring 20,000 feet in the air on a cross-country trip to Los Angeles. My iPod was just getting warmed up for an extensive workout, when I began to drift into this deep contemplative state…it’s the corner of my mind where only I have access. For the sake of transparency, I usually share everything, but this is my one secret hideaway.

Volume 13- The Cheating Series, Part 3

Now that you’ve made it through the first two phases of my cheating seminar, a decision must now be made. But before you decided whether to stay or leave, you must ask yourself the following four questions…
1. What If There Was No Cheating?
If you’ve exhausted all possible avenues only to discover no cheating occurred, then [...]

The Workaholic Husband

Dear Fly Guy,
I hope this letter finds you in good spirits, because I really need to hear back from you. You’ve been focusing on cheating the last couple of weeks, and I wanted to get your input on my situation. My husband and I have been married for the past ten years, and for the [...]

Never Quitting

I attended my first baby shower last weekend, and I have to say it was the most unconventional event I’ve ever attended (I see you Danielle.) Anyway, before I was rudely interrupted by my own shoutout, I was telling you about the baby shower. There were more men there than women, and playoff football and spades were in high demand (I told you it was unconventional.)

Volume 12- Handling A Cheater

I kept telling people before the release of Volume 11 that it was going to big. I really don’t think anyone was expecting this though. In the end, I touched more lives than R. Kelly at a Girl Scout Convention. So let me ask you this…has everyone been cheated on in the past? Judging from [...]

She’s A Cheater

Dear Fly Guy,
I really enjoyed last week’s column on cheating. It really hit home, so I’m hoping you can help me too. I’ve been with my girlfriend for quite some time, but discovered that she was cheating on me a few months back. It really hurt, but I decided to forgive her and work on [...]

No Turning Back

Believe it or not, I wrecked my car today. There’s no need to be alarmed; it was my fault. I was too busy looking at this accident in my rearview mirror, and forgot to pay attention to what was in front of me. The next thing I know, I’m slamming into the back of this raggedy white pickup truck. Looking back on it all, I’m beginning to realize how my mistake parallels common relationship behavior.

Volume 11- The Signs Of A Cheater

Have you ever been in a public bathroom and just took a quick moment to observe the writing on the wall? (I mean seriously, who is Big Daddy D, and why does he want everyone to know that he hangs out in the mall bathroom?) But Big Daddy D aside, there’s plenty of symbolism in [...]
